Site Rules
LISTEN UP! While this may all seem long, it's not. It's all straight to the point and fairly important. You'll need to know everything here so that you can correctly play here on the site. So please don't pass over this guide. You'll only be redirected here later on when you've broken some rule.
Friendly, open, and fun. That is our motto and our number one rule. This site is meant to be inviting and easy to join but that can't be if members are constantly nitpicking at each other. So smile. Everyone is different and we should know that by now. Be patient and considerate of others. We all love to role play so lets have fun while we do it.
PG-13. As told by the Proboards’ Terms of Service, keep all of your content appropriate.
Do not Mini-Mod. Handling rule breaks and keeping the peace is the job of the staff, not members. So please, if you spot a rule break or an argument, report it. Staff would be happy to handle the issue and even reward you for your report with some extra Sand Dollars.
Power Playing, God Modding, and Meta Gaming are all big no-nos. If you are confused about the terms I've listed a few helpful quotes below.
Power playing occurs in role playing when you control someone else's character, as well as your own, without the other person's permission.
"God Modding" is, in essence, when someone’s character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. An example is when they simply cannot be harmed by any and all means other RP-ers try.
And Meta Gaming is the act of using outside or previously gained knowledge within a gaming universe for personal gain or advantage.

Alternate Universe. This site is AU, based off Erin Hunters Warriors series. So no characters or events from the book have ever lived/occurred here. Furthermore anything outside the realism of the series is not allowed on the site.
Your characters can die. They could be outnumbered in a battle. Ambushed by the enemy while out alone. An endless amount of things could go wrong in a characters life. Be watchful and if you notice a horrible situation brewing, get your character out of there fast.
Domestic cats only. To play as any other animal you must save up your Sand Dollars and purchase them from the shop. And lets be realistic. Some easy examples: cats cannot speak or understand other animals, they don't have any supernatural abilities such as in the books third series, male cats cannot be tortoiseshell, etc.
Character Biography Info
It is required that every member use the biography form for each new character they make. BUT GUESS WHAT? After posting you can begin role playing with that character immediately! No need to wait for a staff member to come along and accept it, we will eventually. Most likely it will get slapped with an [acceptance] and left alone. If there are any problems with your bio you'll be contacted and the problem fixed via PM.
The bio form is a pre-set posting template, so that when you start a new thread in the Character Crafting board the form will already be there for you to fill out. Something to keep in mind while creating your characters bio is that all sections must be filled. With the exception of the 'Other' under appearance.
The site offers a few different ranks. Warrior, apprentice, kit, queen, elder, loner, rogue, and kittypet. High position ranks [leader, deputy, mc, and mca] can only be determined IC and cannot be bio created. All will be explained more in depth in the FAQ.
You have complete creative freedom with all of your characters. We only ask that you keep everything realistic. For example: no naturally purple fur, wings, red eyes, speaking to different animals, etc. And while on the subject, we do not allow tortoiseshell males of any variation. Tortie males are caused only by two genetic mutations and are extremely rare, so for the time being we will not be dealing with them here.
Age matters. A five month old cat cannot be a warrior. Any character below six months is a kit. Six months and up is appearance/mca age. Twelve months and up is warrior/deputy/mc age. And anything past twelve months is leader/elder age. This rule applies only to the four main clans but is important no less.
New Warrior Tips
Here to offer you a few more helpful notes about getting ready for your first character here at WC-Universe. One of the first is that we offer members unlimited characters. Two? Twenty? If that's how many you can joggle then go ahead. This site was meant to offer you as many choices and as much freedom as possible, so why put a limit on this?
We also have a Genetics Desk. An optional resource for those interested in getting the most realistic results in their litters. It has it's own set of rules that must be read and followed.
Currently members are not allowed to start their own fan-clans. This is going to change in the future but as of right now we need to focus on the four original clans and getting their activity levels up.
The last thing to go over is the sites currency, Sand Dollars. A shop has been mentioned a few times before already so it's about time to learn more about our currency and how to get your hands on more of it. There are only a few ways to earn them. Making or replying to posts, reporting rule breaks, and winning events held by staff. Be sure not to miss such chances and post as much as you can, because you'll need all the Sand Dollars you get to buy great items at the shop [also called Fourtrees Bazaar].
